Nunavut Sivuniksavut students were at Parliament Hill to send a message, 'Hunt Seal, Eat Seal, Wear Seal!'
Since various seal bans have been put in place, the market for seal skins, clothing, arts & crafts have plummeted. Now Inuit are working together to generate awareness and understanding to the importance the sealing market has to our culture, food security, independence & economy.
Thank you to Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami for your support, and to the Government of Nunavut's Dept. of Environment for lending the beautiful sealskin jackets.
