With language as presence, gesture as thought, and image as event, the works brought together in this exhibition present the body in an interdependent relationship with the damaged world it traverses. In an open field of tensions, between intimate trajectories and a collective life built upon various forms of dispossession, these works unearth resonances with the political conditions of a world marked by coloniality. Like breathing, at times deep and free, at times constrained, they proffer the entanglements of story and the encounters of porous lives, permitting us to experience the concurrence of closure and openness, of the inner world and what exists outside it, of impasse and crossing.
